    These noodles look unreal to me. I found them at Bulk Barn. Apparently they are made in Italy, all natural colors, from wheat produced in my province. A lady also buying them was telling me about it from a trip she took to Italy recently

    I spent so much time looking for the cat and gave up. Now I see! Haha.

    That dish has all things I love. I've only had kimchi once many years ago and wasn't crazy about it then but I'd like to try it again soon since so many jbers talk about liking it

    I’m making some black bean burgers (thought this would be harder than it was the first time I did it, but surprisingly easy) and baked carrot fries for dinner tonight.

    My husband made burgers stuffed with cheese and jalapeños and used locally raised beef and omg it was truly the best burger I have ever had. So freaking good. Also, arugula is awesome on burgers.

    you don't taste it a ton in this dish, it just gives the rice a nice tangy vinegar taste + chilli spiciness. i've been trying to eat more fermented foods lately, they're very good for you. if you're interested the recipe was roughly:

    * dash of ginger powder (or a bit of grated fresh ginger)
    * 1 cup cooked basmati rice (or brown rice, or quinoa), made with chicken/beef or vegetable stock
    * 1/2 cup kimchi chopped up
    * about a teaspoon of kimchi "juice" (the liquid from the container)
    * 1/2 tablespoon of chilli garlic sauce
    * tsp of sesame oil

    i cooked the broccoli and bok choy in a tsp of sesame oil and a clove of minced garlic. sprinkle with sesame seeds, add a bit of sriracha if you like it spicy, and nom.

    Black bean sauce at Asian restaurants has been my go-to since forever. I was googling it the other day and found out it's made with fermented beans. I had no idea. Having known that as a kid, I probably wouldn't had been so keen to order it.

    I'm going to try your recipe next week. My husband works on the edge of our China town so I'll send him over to pick up some kimchi

    I tried to make some eggplant in the oven the other day and it turned out really rubbery . I baked it with tomatoes and olive oil it seemed like it would have been good.

    Did you leave the skin on? I've only ever made it without the skin and sliced thin
